Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out deliveries and pick-up product from customers according to the pre-established routes/schedule
- Establish positive working relationships with contacts at each customer site
- Oversee all functions of vehicle's condition of equipment loading and unloading, pre-trip inspections, safety and security of cargo (including inspection of tires, lights, brakes, etc)
- Assists in the warehouse as required, shipping, receiving and labeling batteries.
- Overnight travel - 2 - 3 nights per week
Experience, Skills & Competencies
- Must have valid class 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement.
- Minimum 2 years previous experience with delivery driving and, in a warehouse,
- Forklift experience & certificate to operate Forklift
- Experience with an electric pallet jack considered an asset
- Must be willing and able to frequently lift and/or move boxes up to 40 lbs. and up
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow processes and adhere to safety standards (WHIMS & TDG)
- Ability to work with mobile technology
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
