Job Description
We are currently seeking a reliable, compassionate, knowledgeable hardworking Delivery Driver to join our growing company. The successful candidate will be experienced in the delivery of wheelchairs, scooters, lift chairs, bathroom safety equipment and other home accessibility equipment. The applicant should possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract (required as condition of employment), good communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver/pick-up equipment, or supply parcels
- Complete and submit delivery documentation/paperwork
- Complete pre/post trip vehicle inspection
- Communicate with clients regarding parcel delivery and pick up
- Load/unload vehicle using safe lifting practices
- Repot delivery issues to Service Manager
- Perform general cleaning duties
Qualifications:
- Completion of high school
- Minimum 2 year full time working experience as a delivery driver
- Good knowledge of Simcoe County and surrounding area
- Health and safety awareness training is an asset
- Background check is required
- Must have active full driver’s license in Ontario and produce a clean driver’s abstract; company vehicle will be provided
- Experience with assembly and installation of home medical equipment is an asset
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Able to relate to people and build trust easily.
- Thrive in a team environment, working with internal and external teams to drive business and satisfy our customers.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
