Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will play a key role in our accounting, reporting, and planning processes, with a focus on demand planning and inventory management, in this rapidly growing entrepreneurial Company. As the Production and Demand Planner you will...
- Analyze current stock levels to identify potential shortages or excesses. Determine appropriate replenishment actions using historical and forecasted demand patterns.
- With the assistance of the production team, create and maintain production and PO fulfillment schedules to ensure all orders are delivered on time.
- Active participant in daily production review meetings to verify production numbers prior to entry into ERP.
- Help maintain and improve Supply Chain and Inventory Reporting, including development of KPI dashboards in collaboration with internal customers.
- Responsible for accurate recording in ERP of all inventory related transactions, including purchases, production and sales.
- Maintain master data on all inventory items, including bill of materials.
- Produce month end reconciliations with appropriate analysis.
- Lead role in coordinating periodic inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Completion of monthly regulatory reporting and filings.
- Support investigations/inventory reconciliation efforts, including root cause analysis to identify and resolve process deficiencies.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Conducting meetings and presentations.
- All other duties assigned by the company.
As an experienced professional, you will have...
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced logical statements, pivot tables, v-lookups, macros, etc.
- Experience in MS Office Suite programs (Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) is considered an asset.
- Working towards CPA designation is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting and/or financial analysis experience within a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years experience with Dynamics Business Central an asset.
- 2+ years experience report creation using Power BI or Jet Reports.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization, including senior management.
- Knowledge of Federal Cannabis regulations would be considered an asset (CRA/Health Canada).
- Candidate must provide a clear criminal record check prior to start date.
