Marketing Agency Digital Marketing/Google Ads Expert (Remote)
We are looking for a digital marketing specialist with expertise in Google Ads, social media ads, and email marketing who enjoys executing digital marketing plans, optimizing for performance, and using metrics to share insightful, actionable reports.
Our B2B tech marketing agency is looking for an experienced Google Ads expert to help our clients make better marketing decisions based on data. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience with Google Ads and Google Analytics but can also execute any type of digital marketing plan. A passion for B2B technology clients is a must and experience in embedded electronics (MCU/MPU/boards; RTOS; design, software development & middleware tools; IoT), robotics & automation, and IT (SaaS) or related fields is an asset. This is a part-time remote role with the potential to grow to full-time for the right candidate.

HCI provides B2B tech marketing and public relations services, from defining target buyers and creating lead-generation campaigns to developing content and securing press interviews for our clients. We provide exemplary marketing services that embrace engineering creativity. Client initiatives are handled with care, excellence, and industry-focused expertise. As a virtual agency, we work remotely across North American and European time zones, within a structure where the needs of clients and our staff are understood and cared for.
Responsibilities include:
· Lead the execution, optimization, and reporting for integrated digital marketing plans/campaigns that complement objectives for clients in the B2B tech sector
· Manage all aspects of Google Ads campaigns to drive marketing campaigns for multiple clients:
o Create and optimize ad campaigns and paid search landing pages
o Optimize landing pages to align with target keywords
o Draft ads and landing pages
o Monitor search terms and add negative keywords as needed
o Analyze and optimize pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns to increase ROI
o Manage and optimize display campaigns across multiple devices and audiences
o Develop PPC strategies to increase online visibility
o Research and identify target keywords for campaigns and ad groups to fit clients’ goals and budgets
o Analyze client and competitors’ Google Ads campaigns and mine for opportunities
o Analyze organic keyword performance to understand what keywords need to be paid vs. organic
· Use research, tools, and dashboards to track performance over time, draft and present detailed monthly reports, analyze results to identify patterns and trends, demonstrate ROI, and achieve KPIs
· Execute plans on time and on budget, fine-tune and optimize as needed
· Collaborate with agency team members when required
· Promote clients’ brand and technology in relevant digital marketing channels
· Build and nurture client relationships, ensuring they feel cared for and have confidence that you understand their needs and can execute effectively
· Assist Client Services Director in evaluating ways to improve HCI’s client services, such as assessing industry and proprietary tools, identifying new service areas, and developing processes
Who You Are:
· A hands-on expert in search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM)
· Have a Google Ads certification and/or a degree in digital marketing or a related business field
· A marketing professional who demonstrates a creative and strategic mindset
· A team player whose ego is checked at the door. You accept constructive criticism and take a collaborative approach
· Clever, resourceful, smart. You understand technology quickly and can jump in and make an immediate impact. You can fly by the seat of your pants when you must
· A collaborator who works well with all levels/roles on your team. You maintain regular contact with clients and colleagues via phone, email, and other collaboration tools. You can also work independently and are highly productive.
· Committed. You genuinely care about your clients and colleagues and nurture those relationships
· Proactive, organized, detail oriented, and exceptionally responsible. You meet deadlines, stay within budget. You keep your manager/team apprised of project status and bring issues to the forefront when challenges arise with timing, client, and resources
· Highest quality of work and presentation matter to you. You never send something to a client that isn’t first-class
· You have wisdom, integrity, discretion, and a high respect for confidentiality
· You recognize the importance of tracking and reporting your time consistently
· References: You can provide recent client, colleague, and supervisor references who sing your praises as a digital marketer and Google Ads expert
Tool knowledge
· Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Semrush are required
· Reporting platforms like Swydo, Looker Studio are desirable
· Organic and paid social media channels: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Threads, etc. are desirable
· Marketing automation: You have recent in-depth experience with one or more marketing automation tools such as HubSpot, Pardot, Constant Contact, MailChimp, Marketo, or similar is required
