About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Outbound Sales to join our dynamic sales team. As the Director of Outbound Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic outbound sales initiatives to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base. This role is critical to our overall sales strategy, and you will play a key role in leading and scaling our outbound sales efforts.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge and understanding of the SaaS sales process, market trends, and customer needs. This role will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and building and managing a high-performing sales team to achieve revenue targets and goals for the organization.

- The Director of Outbound Sales will work cross-functionally with other leaders to set strategic direction and operationally support the mid-market sales in the following initiatives:
People Leadership
- Lead and manage a high-performing outbound sales team, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to drive individual and team success.
- Provide coaching and support to the outbound sales team, helping them achieve their targets.
- Provides vision and direction to the teams to ensure there is alignment and clarity in achieving revenue goals and targets across functional teams
- Creates a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement in alignment with larger organizational objectives. Demonstrates a commitment to the organizational mission/vision.
- Works to empower the team and rally them around a common vision to realize goals and achieve high levels of engagement/.productivity.
- Fosters strong collaboration between the outbound sales team and other departments, such as marketing and customer success.
- Defines and coordinates sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives.
- Participates in hiring and performance processes of functional leaders to ensure the organization has the right talent in place to achieve its goals and objectives.
- Establishes clear performance metrics and targets for the outbound sales team.
- Implements a performance tracking system and conducts regular performance reviews.
- Provide timely feedback, recognition, and corrective actions to improve individual and team performance.
Strategic and Operational Sales Leadership
- Identify opportunities to expand into new markets, verticals, or customer segments.
- Develop and execute strategic outbound sales campaigns to penetrate new accounts or territories.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted messaging and campaigns for specific industries or buyer personas.
- Utilize sales tactics, including pitch scripts, competition handling, customer segmentation, and collaboration with marketing and product teams to maximize revenue per lead.
- Implements improved processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization.
- Puts the proper infrastructure and systems in place to support the success of the sales function.
- Reviews performance against operating plans and standards and provides reports on interpretation of results, making recommendations for changes in direction of plans if required.
- Reviews the lead generation and qualification processes to ensure effective lead nurturing and conversion.
- Collaborates with marketing to refine messaging, content, and campaigns to better align with outbound sales efforts.
- Implements a regular review process to monitor the quality and progression of leads in the pipeline.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in a medium sized growth business, preferably within a SaaS environment
- Prior experience leading a sales team or performing as a top individual contributor in an outbound sales environment
- Experience selling SaaS software
- Demonstrated success in implementing revenue and sales strategies and generating revenue as a manager or high performing performing quota-carrying sales rep
- Ability to create and foster cross-functional networks and manage without authority
- Effective leadership, influencing and communication skills
- Management experience leading teams of 5+
- Bsc in Management, Finance or similar (MBA preferred)
