This role is currently working from home 2 or 3 days a week and 2 or 3 days a week at our head office in Burnaby, BC. Apply this week if you would like to take on this role.Key Ways This Position Makes An ImpactThe Director, Software Engineering will establish priorities for system support activities (enhancements and fixes) and ensure that resources are assigned.This role works with the CIO to develop, implement, and oversee the departmental strategic and tactical plan to be in line with corporate objectives and establishes individual objectives.In this role, you would provide leadership and coaching to the Software Engineering team.You would oversee production support release activities based on user needs, business priorities, team capacity, and technology capacities.This role would develop the annual department budget and monitor financial results on strategic and tactical plans.The Director would provide leadership support throughout the project management cycle by identifying opportunities, establishing objectives, evaluating the quality and ROI, and implementing changes.Key Experiences You Bring To This Role
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in computer application support and systems analysis
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in progressively senior leadership positions; managing and/or directing IT development resources with competing demands to deliver business objectives
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing cross functional resource teams
- University degree (or equivalent) with a major in Computer Sciences, IT, MIS complemented by courses in leadership/supervision
