Job Description
Purpose: To provide an outstanding level of service to each and every guest, through memorable, above and beyond services, while working well with other team members within the department, and outside of.
Reports to: Front Office Manager
Key Responsibilities:
· Responsible for providing a high level of customer service to our hotel guests by greeting them with a smile and checking them in quickly and efficiently, without errors
· Answer guest enquiries throughout stay and provide assistance in a friendly and efficient manner
· Follow general housekeeping rules and encourage others of the same
· Balance daily transactions
· Participate in up-sell program set by the hotel
· Ongoing understanding of the hotel’s products and policies and adhere to the regulations contained within
· Handling fire panel and elevators in emergency
· Maintaining high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
· Other duties as assigned
Candidate Requirements:
· Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, attention to detail and organizational abilities
· Ability to work with minimal supervision; be team oriented
· Multitasking ability; ability to work in high volume, pressure situations
· Experience in face to face customer service
· Ability to problem solve; follow policy/procedures
· Ability to communicate effectively in both official languages (English, French) preferred
· Minimum 1 years’ experience in a Front Desk role within a hotel environment.
· Must be available to work weekends, open availability preferred
Opera knowledge is an asset.
