Job Description
Reporting to the HR Systems Manager, the Human Resources Assistant is responsible for fulfilling HR requests within the Human Resources Service Centre for Canada specifically for Recruiting and Onboarding activities and provides administrative support for HR Projects.
This position is based out of Aramark Canada’s head office: 5150 Spectrum Way, Suite 200, Mississauga, Ontario L4W 5G2
This is a Temporary contract position of 3-6 months.
- Ensure all tickets from the Human Resources Service Centre are categorized correctly and assigned appropriately to ensure accurate reporting and tracking
- Provide support to managers on all HR System inquiries for all aspects of the employment lifecycle, including but not limited to job requisitions, job descriptions, job postings, criminal background checks, and onboarding. As well as post hire transactions such as leaves/layoffs, position organization chart changes, employee record updates and terminations.
- Provides guidance and support to managers on all HR Systems including SAP, Service Now, and Checkr
- Provides administrative support in all HR Systems and fulfill all HR Reporting and Analytics requests, including maintaining data related to recruiting and onboarding
- Provides administrative support for HR Projects related to Criminal Background Checks, Vulnerable Sector Search and Offence Declarations
- Maintain the HR Operations tracker and SharePoint documents and tracking related items
- Complete mail merges of mass communication letters and review for accuracy
- Escalate complex and high-risk matters to the relevant HR managers and leaders and provide support as required
- Required to ensure the upmost confidentiality of people and payroll information
- Assist with all other HR projects and initiatives through reporting and administrative tasks
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- 1-3 years of Human Resources Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; fact-based approach to problem solving; able to communicate with tact and diplomacy
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to identify and implement process improvement requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and self-learn
- Ability to handle sensitive and highly personal information on a daily basis and maintain confidentiality in a mature and non-judgmental, unbiased manner
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, Power point and working knowledge of HR systems
