Here is what you will do
VitalAire is currently recruiting a highly energetic and motivated Human Resources Business Partner in Vancouver, BC. The HRBP will provide strategic advice and counsel to the leadership team on all aspects of human resources for his/her regions including talent management, diversity, organizational design, change management, workforce management, leadership, employee development, performance management and rewards & recognition.
- Contributes to and supports the delivery of the HR strategy in line with business objectives.
- Drives and delivers HR initiatives to support business needs, such as talent development, employee engagement, management development and organizational change.
- Participates in talent reviews and succession planning processes to retain top talent and promoting professional growth within the ALC Group
- Ensures employee development needs are identified and acted upon through developmental assignments or appropriate learning intervention.
- Collaborates with management to identify opportunities and areas of improvement to support improved organizational and employee performance in line with business objectives
- Coaches and guides Managers on daily employee relations and HR issues including progressive discipline and performance management.
- Supports line managers in drafting and reviewing performance improvement plans (PIP), performance correction notices (PCN’s) and various employment letters.
- Reviews and adapts human resource management policies, practices and procedures to adhere with applicable legislation when applicable.
- Manages all leaves of absences while collaborating with Managers and Payroll when facilitating return to work plans.
- Manages onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Updates and ensures the accuracy of employees data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Performs other related duties as required.
Here is what you will need
- University degree, preferably in business specializing in Human Resources, or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in a Human Resources role
- Knowledge of G-Mail and Google Platform will be an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with autonomy.
- Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Knowledge of employment legislation across Western provinces, employee relations and HR best practices;
- Knowledge of HRIS (Workday) is an asset.
