Title: Recruitment Specialist, Volunteer Resources
Employee Working Location: Remote/Virtual (Montréal, QC, Canada)
Employment status: Temporary full time (9 months)
Salary band: 27,30$/hour

The incumbent will participate in volunteer recruitment activities. The successful candidate will carry out application processing activities, from receiving applications to selecting volunteers. They will participate in activities to recruit volunteers and corporate volunteers in the Ready When the Time Comes program, as well as provide a great volunteer experience.
In this role, you will:
- Schedule and conduct phone interviews, pre-screen candidates, organize and lead the interview process, and handle debriefings with other programs.
- Help expand our base of volunteers who can provide support when needed during various types of emergency responses.
- Identify ideal candidates using the volunteer profiles developed with the various programs.
- Foster an excellent application experience.
- Provide daily reports on all recruitment project activities.
- Participate in special projects while continuously improving established processes.
- Share best practices in volunteer talent acquisition with response managers, fundraising managers, and the team of volunteers in charge of recruitment.
- Be the point person for response managers regarding recruitment in their areas and work cooperatively to achieve recruitment objectives.
- Open files for successful candidates.
- Document and update the databases.
What we are looking for:
- A university degree and a certificate in human resources.
- At least one year of experience in recruitment.
- Relevant experience in mass recruitment.
- Experience in a volunteer setting (an asset).
- Fluency in French and English is required.
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of a volunteer management database or an equivalent tool.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Completion of CPR training (an asset).
- Excellent customer service skills (internal and external).
- Thoroughness when carrying out various tasks.
- The ability to achieve objectives, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
Working conditions:
- Most of the work will be performed in an office environment.
- Remote work may be possible.
- A non-traditional schedule may be required.
