Your Opportunity
We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist for a 12 month contract to provide advisory and operational support for our Assurance and BSO service lines. Reporting into the HR Manager, the HR Generalist will own the following responsibilities:
- Key HR point of contact responsible for advising employees and front-line leaders on all aspects of the talent agenda and experience
- Work with HR Centers of Expertise and business leaders to deliver the BDO talent experience â“ to Attract, Engage and Grow our people
- Build and maintain strong, advisory relationships with the business
- Advise employees and leaders on all talent related matters including employee relations and engagement, performance, rewards, organizational structure, inclusion and diversity, development, acquisition, policy application and others as required
- Work with the HR team to deliver all elements of the National Talent Strategy across the Assurance and BSO service lines
- Provide reporting and analytics support to the HR Manager to help inform and shape the Talent Strategy
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team and assist with recruitment activities as needed
- Participate on national HR projects

Your experience and education
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience
- Experience with processing HR transactional tasks such as leaves, disability case management, advising on policy and generating HR reports
- Enjoys having fun doing serious work in a collaborative fast-paced environment while getting things done
- A high focus on advising clients by developing the best possible recommendations and enabling leaders
- A curious and proactive problem solver who develops solutions that enable firm, professional and personal success
- Always seeks to improve processes while effectively managing multiple priorities in a complex, matrix environment
- Comfortable facilitating presentations and discussions
- Post-secondary graduate with a degree or diploma in HR combined with a CHRP designation completed or in progress
