Human Resources AdvisorLocation: CHANEL Toronto OfficeReports to: Human Resources DirectorContract: Full-time and Permanent PositionTravel: This role will require occasional, planned travels, cross-canada (BC, AB & QC.)Type: Hybrid (3 days on-site & 2 days remote)Your role @ Chanel:We are looking for an HR Advisor – Fashion division, that will be responsible for managing the talent attraction and acquisition process in collaboration with the Human Resources Director, while also leading our onboarding, talent engagement and learning and development strategies for all the divisions.What impact you can create at Chanel:Talent attraction/engagement/onboarding
- In collaboration with the Human Resources Director develop recruitment strategies.
- Provide coaching and training to managers regarding interviewing and hiring techniques.
- Continually partner with our Boutique Directors to help them choose the best retail staff for each boutique.
- Ensure the continuous improvement of interview tools and techniques and enhance the integration of new hires.
- Manage the offer process through negotiations and contract preparation in conjunction with the managers.
- Build a structured welcome plan with the hiring managers to ensure effective onboarding of all new hires.
- Prepare and present recruitment statistics to identify rends and improve time to fill metrics.
- In collaboration with the other members in the HR team responsible for entering all new hire entries and job-related changes in Workday.
- Conduct exit interviews.
HR partnership initiatives & administration- Maintain current processes in place: bi-weekly meetings with our boutique Directors, assist in employee meetings, evaluations, partner in the disciplinary processes, etc.
- Propose ideas for improving processes or procedures to maximize corporate performance.
- Develop talent integration tools / recognition initiatives and diversity and inclusion strategies.
- Conduct employee surveys (culture/engagement/interest, etc.)
- Champion the Fashion Peer mentor program.
- Lead the Fashion recognition awards.
- Build the Bi-weekly Newsletter.
- Lead and participate in various committees such as Health & Safety, D&I, etc.
- Etc.
Learning and development- Determine the holistic learning requirements for our teams (soft skills, technical and business competencies) and ensure the trainings proposed target the right audience.
- In collaboration with the training departments, help to develop the learning strategies and support the trainers in their approach.
- Build learning road maps for key talents and for potential succession candidates taking into consideration specific needs, operational challenges and organizational priorities.
- Partner with the training departments and act as an advisor to provide input on the offered trainings.
- In collaboration with the training department benchmark internal training management processes.
What you will bring to the role:- 3-5 years of experience in recruitment and/or talent acquisition
- Trilingual: English & Mandarin, spoken and written and working knowledge of French will be considered as a strong asset
- Advanced knowledge of the people side of the job market in Canada
- An ability to work under-pressure in a fast-paced environment, while managing short deadlines and priorities
- A collegiate approach to driving projects forward

- A working knowledge of HRIS, ideally Workday
