Job description
We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our team in Laval, Quebec, Canada. you will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's human resources functions. You will work closely with the HR team and various departments to provide comprehensive HR support and ensure the smooth functioning of our workforce. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of HR activities, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.

Role and Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
- Source and attract qualified candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks.
- Conduct initial screenings and interviews to evaluate candidates' suitability for open positions.
- Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Address employee concerns, conflicts, and disciplinary matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
- Promote a positive work environment and foster employee engagement through regular communication and initiatives.
Performance Management:
- Support performance appraisal processes by providing guidance to managers and employees on goal setting, performance metrics, and feedback.
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance improvement plans, ensuring clear objectives and follow-up.
HR Administration and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives to foster a productive and inclusive work environment.
- Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and recommend appropriate actions as needed.
HR Projects and Initiatives:
- Contribute to HR projects, such as employee engagement programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and talent development programs.
- Collaborate with the HR team to continuously improve HR processes and practices, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, preferably in a technology or software company.
- Sound knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency MS Office Suite.
