Job Summary
Reporting to the Supervisor, Fertilizer Handling, the Temporary Labourer will be accountable for operating dry fertilizer process equipment, front end loaders, forklifts and miscellaneous manual labour tasks.
This position will be from September 5, 2023 to Novermber 10, 2023 and based out of our Fort Saskatchewan plant site.
Accountabilities
- Completion of mobile equipment pre-use check sheets and update shift summary reports
- Review and adhere to safe work procedures and Company Safety Policy
- Completion of on-going regulatory and compliance training requirements
- Perform manual labour job tasks, including clean up of mobile equipment and process systems
- Safe and efficient loading of fertilizer trucks and railcars
- Safe and efficient operation of mobile equipment; front end loaders, forklift, ½ tonne truck
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma
- 1-2 years’ experience in an industrial plant environment
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Safety orientated
- Written and oral communication skills
- Experience working with a front-end loader and forklift is an asset.
