We are seeking a Marketing Student for our Toronto District in Oakville, Ontario within our Canadian Buildings Division that is available for either a minimum of 4- or 8-month term starting in September 2023.
This position will be under the direct supervision of Director, Marketing, working closely with the Marketing, Proposal and Communications department.
Here’s how a Marketing Student for our Toronto office contributes to our team:
Create branded materials based on PCL’s visual guidelines (e.g., brochures, flysheets, PPTs, conference materials, posters and banners, etc.).
Interview internal stakeholders to develop stories and write copy for project profiles, marketing materials, resumes, proposals, and other purposes as required.
Assist in data entry and maintain accurate database and content on PCL’s internal sales and marketing platform SAMI.
Produce visually compelling marketing content and materials for internal and external audiences, including photography and graphic/document design.
Support coordination and execution of employee headshots and other photography assignments, in line with health and safety guidelines if applicable.
Support marketing activities associated with internal and external events and conferences.
Assist with special assignments and provide support to the Marketing team as required.
Review, edit and proofread various internal documents and marketing related material.
Write clear, concise business communications that are tailored to the right audience and are free of spelling and punctuation errors.
Manage tasks and priorities as part of a creative team working within project schedules and deadlines.
Develop and maintain strong customer-focused relationships with internal customers to develop branding solutions for products.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign and Illustrator (desired).
High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong writer and skilled editor.
Highly organized, self-motivated and positive attitude.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent computer, Microsoft Office Suite and researching skills.
Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
Ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Understanding of digital media and how to integrate it into the business process.
Photography skills considered an asset.
Efficient, enthusiastic and flexible
Ability to take initiative in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced, environment.
