We are offering an exciting opportunity for a part-time Registered Massage Therapist to join our team. Opportunity for extended hours in the near future is available. Hired candidates can look forward to the prospect of working with a diverse clientele in a fun and engaging setting unique to the Annex.

Massage lotion will be provided by the clinic; along with other equipment you may need.

QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will excel in the following qualifications:
- Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and insured to practice.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a private practice setting in Toronto is preferred, but not mandatory. We welcome New Grads to apply!
- Fluent in writing, reading, and speaking English.
- Literate in computers and electronic booking and charting softwares, ie. Jane.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of independent practice, including assessment & treatment, treatment planning, customer service, and patient-retention. You will be the boss of your own practice. You are the expert in your discipline.
- Post-graduate training in specialized manual techniques and populations, ie. myofascial stretching, cupping, prenatal massage, is preferred, but not required.
- Able to work independently with minimal in-person supervision, but also gets along with others. This is important for contributing to an overall positive and vibrant workplace atmosphere.
- Experience in interdisciplinary care and cross-referring is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Values continuous learning in their disciplines, demonstrated through reading primary articles & reference books, attending post-graduate training, receiving mentorships, teaching others, etc.
- Excellent work performance and attendance record.
- Hard-working, reliable, strong communication & interpersonal skills, resourceful, and self-motivated.
- Open to participating in marketing strategies for the Spruce, ie. Tik Tok/Instagram videos, free consultations for patients, etc., but not required.
- Experience with extended health insurance direct billing, and WSIB & MVA paperwork is preferred, but not required.
- Proof of full COVID vaccination preferred.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess and treat the patient’s physical problem/condition using a range of manual techniques within the Massage Therapy Scope of Practice, rostered activities, and your personal set of skills.
- Educate patients about self-management on how to prevent and/or improve conditions, such as using heat/ice, stretching, self-massage tools, etc.
- Complete mandatory documentation in a timely manner as required by the College, including collection of consent information, charting, WSIB- and MVA-related forms, etc.
- Maintain a steady workflow, including arriving at work at least 15 mins before your first patient, greeting and bringing the patient into the treatment room, treating the patient as per schedule, and communicating with reception regarding patient late arrivals, cancellations, and no-shows.
- Cross-refer to and co-treat with other disciplines internally.
- Tidy-up and maintain cleanliness and order of your treatment room during and after your shift.
- Perform some administrative tasks, including rebooking of the patient, direct billing, and collecting payment*. (More can be discussed during the interview process).
COMPENSATION
- Commission split of 60% for all services.
