Job Description
We are looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Coordinator and Videographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social media and the ability to create engaging content to drive user engagement and increase brand awareness. The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of our social media accounts, including creating content, responding to customer inquiries, and monitoring analytics. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is a new-grad with a passion for digital marketing and videography looking to expand their knowledge of the digital marketing landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing plans to promote Ocean Ridge Recycling's services and initiatives.
- Record and edit social media video content
- Create engaging and compelling content for various marketing channels, including social media platforms, website, blog, and email newsletters.
- Manage and maintain Ocean Ridge Recycling's social media presence on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Monitor and analyze social media and website metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and create content related to recycling best practices, industry news, and environmental awareness.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, target audience preferences, and competitive insights.
- Coordinate and participate in community outreach programs, events, and partnerships to promote recycling and engage with the local community.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging social media platforms, and digital marketing strategies.
- Assist in the creation of marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, posters, and presentations.
- Support the marketing team in day-to-day administrative tasks and project management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
- Proficient in content creation and management using social media scheduling and analytics tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create engaging and persuasive content.
- Knowledge of digital marketing best practices, SEO, and email marketing.
- Creative mindset with an eye for design and aesthetics.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Passion for sustainability, recycling, and environmental conservation.
