Kids Uncomplicated currently has an opening for a Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team and make a real difference in the lives of children with Autism and other NDDs. This unique opportunity will provide a range of experiences to develop your skills. You will also work with in a team of Speech Language Pathologist, Physiotherapists, and Behaviour Therapists (Child development Coaches) and have the opportunity to share your expertise as you work alongside families, staff and other professionals. This position requires a combination of clinical expertise, leadership abilities, and strong communication skills. There is flexibility in hours with 3 later afternoons being available (no later than 5:30pm) will be required.
As the OT you can achieve the following in your role:
Team Leadership:
Consult to the team broadly.
Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, encouraging professional growth and development.
Conduct regular team meetings to facilitate communication, share best practices, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services.
Assist with assigning caseloads, supervise therapeutic plans, and review clinical documentation to maintain quality standards.
Coordinate and schedule team members to ensure efficient service delivery.
Clinical Expertise:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of needs.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, setting realistic goals, and utilizing evidence-based practices.
Provide direct therapy to kids, utilizing various techniques and interventions.
Monitor patient progress, adjust therapeutic plans as needed, and document outcomes accurately.
Stay up to date with advancements in therapeutic disciplines through continuing education and professional development activities.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with other therapeutic professionals to ensure integrated care.
Communicate effectively with our families, caregivers, educators, and other support team members as needed throughout the contract.
Act as a liaison between the team and other departments within the organization.
Participate in meetings, presentations, and conferences to share knowledge and promote the work of Kids Uncomplicated.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, ethical standards, and organizational policies.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including assessment reports, ISP, progress notes, and summaries.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current licensure/certification.
A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience with demonstrated expertise in your field.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience in supervising and mentoring.
Strong knowledge of assessment tools, therapy techniques, and play-based practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with families, team members, and other professionals.
Proficient in using technology and computer-based documentation systems.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation: Competitive and will be discussed during the interview process; a relocation incentive may also be negotiated at the time of offer.
