As the Operations Manager, you will be involved in all activities related to production operations. Specifically, you will be responsible for production planning, inventory control, and providing support to the Plant Director in matters related to health and safety, continuous improvement, and human resources management.
Job description
- Implement company guidelines, aiming to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
- Create, develop, and maintain an environment where employees are engaged.
- Support and empower the team to facilitate decision-making in line with our guidelines and corporate culture.
- Support the process of occupational health and safety improvements. Act as a disciplined entrepreneur, considering financial implications (manufacturing costs).
- Ensure product compliance with customer requirements. Coordinate and implement the Altium Production System (APS), our continuous improvement system.
- Support operational teams (planning, maintenance, purchasing, quality, logistics).
- Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of all staff: document training and development activities for different positions.
- Communicate process, policy, procedure, or method improvements to employees.
- Ensure compliance and maintain records related to production.
- Participate in monitoring new projects in collaboration with the technical operations and capital planning team.
- Collaborate with the procurement manager to coordinate production-related needs.
- Participate in the health and safety committee and other meetings relevant to the role.
- Work on various special projects as requested by superiors. Prepare reports for the plant director for approval.

Requirements and desired skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or operations management.
- Five to seven years of production management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with an integrated management system (ERP).
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and computer skills..
- Motivating leadership skills.
- Change management expertise.
- Culture of continuous improvement, health and safety, and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Autonomous and meticulous.
