Position Summary
The Roadways & Transportation team impact the lives of residents within our community every single day. Roadways Seasonal Operations is a crucial part of our citys service delivery, and we are looking for a dynamic and impactful leader to enhance our potential and implement corporate objectives.

The leadership skills required for this position, The Manager, Roadways Seasonal Operations provides long and short term operational and program planning, financial management, and stakeholder relationship management for the area. This role is responsible for city pavement and gravel surface rural roads, and maintenance of the bridges and guardrails, storm and systematic plowing, ice shaving and residential plowing, alley ploughing, maintenance/snow removal for schools, transit stops, bridge decks and guard rails, snow removal, ice control and routine snow maintenance activities within the City of Reginas winter maintenance program. Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the management of the Roadways Seasonal Operations within the Department of Roadways & Transportation, including operational and program planning, stakeholder relationship management, financial management and people leadership.
Responsible for the management, administration, development, implementation, and delivery of the Citys winter maintenance and snow clearing programs for the road, sidewalk and alley network.
Winter maintenance activities include road plowing, alley plowing, sidewalk plowing, snow removal on roads, schools, transit stops, bridge decks and guard rails, and ice control on roads, sidewalks and alleys Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Citys snow storage site, including revenue generation and cleanup.
Responsible for clearing catch basins in the spring to prevent localized flooding
Responsible for temporary repair of hazardous and damaging potholes and utility cuts, and hazardous material spill cleanup during winter months
Creation of a 24/7 shift schedule cycle considering impact of employee work/life balance, adequate coverage, policy adherence and road safety
This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety standards within the branch. What's in it for you?
