Within Canada, our operating banners of Nedco, Westburne & Rexel Canada Atlantic allow us to serve our customers through a network of 200 + branches across the country ensuring that local service, inventory availability, and knowledgeable support are close by.
We are currently looking for a Branch Operations Manager for our Rexel Atlantic Division. Reporting to the Divisional Operations Manager, you will be part of a team responsible for administering operational guidance and assistance to the branches within the Atlantic region.
The Branch Operations Manager, is responsible to:
- Ensuring operational and administrative procedures are implemented and followed by all branches
- Review reports and identify areas for improvement in co-operation with the branch managers, credit department, operations, and sales team
- Monitor branch transfers daily to ensure branches are not put into a position to not support their local market
- Support operational processes, credits, EDI issues, and technical support for Rexel’s suite of Digital Tools including Webshop and Connexion
- Working with procurement to monitor and expedite open orders within the inventory/procurement system
- Monitoring expense levels and ensuring that corrective action is taken to control/reduce costs in line with budgetary requirements through guidance by Divisional Operations Manager
- Actively participating in the annual inventory preparation and process
- Health & Safety matrix updates, WHIMS training and testing for branches
- Work with Credit Department, Branch Management & Sales staff to address and resolve issues with continued focus on customer service
- Assist management with auditing, reconciliation and vendor issues/disputes
- Special projects - implementation of new/revised processes & workflows as deemed required by Divisional Operations and/or General Manager
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years related experience, including at least three (3) years in a management capacity or a combination of experience and education.
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and priority management skills are a necessity
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, an ability to impart knowledge, listen and provide training and motivate employees
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiarly with AS400 would be an asset
