As a member of the Service team, and as a new Zelus Material Handling family member, you will join a diverse, dynamic group of highly motivated individuals that bring with them a wide array of talents, skills, and backgrounds.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of service management and technicians, ensuring their performance, productivity, and adherence to established processes and safety protocols
• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the service department
• Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to identify and pursue service opportunities, provide technical expertise during the sales process, and develop service contracts and agreements
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction by addressing their concerns, providing technical support, and delivering timely and high-quality service solutions
• Develop and implement service policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with industry regulations and best practices
• Monitor and analyze service performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to optimize service quality, productivity, and profitability
• Manage and control service budgets, including expenses, resources, and inventory, to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability while meeting customer requirements
• Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to overhead crane service, and recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance service capabilities and customer experience
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all service operations, promoting a culture of safety and accountability amongst the service team
• Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or CET with industrial machinery/crane service experience (or equivalent work experience)
• 5+ years proven experience in a leadership role within the service industry, preferably with a focus on industrial equipment or machinery servicing
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems
• Overhead crane experience considered an asset - their components, and maintenance practices
• Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams, including performance management, coaching, and training
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders
