As a member of the Service team, and as a new Zelus Material Handling family member, you will join a diverse, dynamic group of highly motivated individuals that bring with them a wide array of talents, skills, and backgrounds.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of service management and technicians, ensuring their performance, productivity, and adherence to established processes and safety protocols
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the service department
- Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to identify and pursue service opportunities, provide technical expertise during the sales process, and develop service contracts and agreements
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction by addressing their concerns, providing technical support, and delivering timely and high-quality service solutions
- Develop and implement service policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with industry regulations and best practices
- Monitor and analyze service performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to optimize service quality, productivity, and profitability
- Manage and control service budgets, including expenses, resources, and inventory, to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability while meeting customer requirements
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to overhead crane service, and recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance service capabilities and customer experience
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all service operations, promoting a culture of safety and accountability amongst the service team
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or CET with industrial machinery/crane service experience (or equivalent work experience)
- 5+ years proven experience in a leadership role within the service industry, preferably with a focus on industrial equipment or machinery servicing
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems
- Overhead crane experience considered an asset - their components, and maintenance practices
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams, including performance management, coaching, and training
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders
