Job Title: Bi-Lingual Outside Sales Representative-NDT
Department: Sales and Marketing
Reports To: Sales Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
Identifies customers using company computerized database and other NDT industry resources. Establishes outside company contacts through purchasing, quality, NDT, engineering or other knowledgeable contacts. Schedules calls on current or perspective customers as a regular routine. Responds to customer phone calls, fax and e-mail inquiries for equipment parts, supplies and accessories.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, AUTHORITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
Other duties may be assigned.
- Respond to incoming sales calls from customers and calls on customers as needed.
- Prospect new customers
- Demonstrate products to customers
- Acts as point contact for customers in geographic area.
- Quote equipment and supplies for customers.
- Acts as a customer service representative to ensure quality product(s) and service(s) delivery.
- Responds to customer problems and refers issues to proper resource.
- Support customer issues including follow up on orders and assisting in installations.
- Enter new customer information and keep existing contacts and information up to date in SAGE CRM and SPIRE Accounting Software.
- Arranges for and involved with product delivery and installation, where appropriate
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Work with accounting regarding customer’s payment status.
- Evaluate and recommend new products.
- Utilize SAGE CRM and SPIRE accounting software databases for follow up activities.
- Attend and support trade shows.
- Provide Sales Manager with weekly update of activities including customer visits.
- Attend internal company meetings and provides update on sales activities including those that could impact inside sales or service staff.
- Cross train with other team members for backup.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Complete understanding and ability to demonstrate all TED products. Ability to build and maintain professional customer relations. Excellent oral/written communication skills. Knowledge of MS Office 2000 (Word, Excel), SPIRE accounting software experience. Excellent phone etiquette. Able to multi-task. Customer service driven, teamwork and detail orientated, professional, upbeat, energetic, takes initiative, dependable, takes pride in work.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Sales preferred. ASNT level II in a least two non-destructive testing methods. Minimum of 3 years industrial field sales experience, 5 years of NDT experience, and 6 months customer service experience.

WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to the warehouse and manufacturing environments. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Exposure to non-destructive testing chemicals and consumables.
