Job Summary:
The OTA/PTA collaborates in an interdisciplinary team to carry out therapeutic individual and group exercise programs as assigned by a Physiotherapist /Occupational Therapist in an appropriate and safe manner. Support activities include documentation, inventory completion, equipment cleaning, and other duties as assigned. Currently this position provides prescheduled, and coverage shifts at the KW and Freeport Campuses, but can be re-assigned depending on organizational needs. Contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for all patients, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications :
- 2 year OTA/PTA Diploma required (500 hours of clinical placement) OR 1 year OTA/PTA Certificate required with a minimum of 7 years recent and related experience.
- CPR Certification is required
- High level of organizational and time management skills, and supervised clinical practice in a hospital setting.
- Appropriate and effective written, oral, and non-verbal communication skills with patients, families and colleagues.
- Solid understanding of the OTA/PTA scope of practice.
