Job Title: Home Energy Program Coordinator
Position Type: Full Time, 35 hours per week
Location: Aurora, Ontario
Remuneration: $40,000 annually

Reports to: Manager, Home Energy Solutions

Windfall Ecology Centre is seeking candidates for the position of Home Energy Program
Coordinator, with experience in marketing and communications. The successful applicant joins a dedicated team developing content to support home energy efficiency programs and working directly with clients to support their home retrofit projects.
Reporting to the Manger, Home Energy Solutions, the position provides a wide variety of communications, customer service, technical, and administrative support as we work with a diverse set of community partners, including homeowners, retrofit contractors, utilities, and governments to promote residential energy efficiency.
This is an entry level position, and training will include communications for climate action and sustainability programs, customer service, program details and delivery, job shadowing, and what’s involved in an energy evaluation.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Managing clients and coordinating services for residential home energy retrofit programs
- Assisting in marketing and communications strategy for home energy including brainstorming and curating content for social media, newsletters, webinars, and more
- Delivering excellent customer service, answering inquiries, resolving customer issues, and escalating challenges to the Manager, Home Energy Solutions
- Managing high call volumes, email inquiries and voicemail messages
- Working with NRCan Registered Energy Advisors (REA’s) to solve client issues
- Maintaining an up-to-date online field scheduling system and customer relationship
- +management software (CRM) for home energy evaluations
- Providing feedback on customer trends and challenges, documenting issues for ongoing/improved training and program development, and identifying opportunities for streamlining administrative processes
- Promoting services and programs related to climate change adaptation and mitigation
- Attending scheduled staff meetings, events, and training sessions as required (occasional weekends/evenings)
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be passionate about making a difference in the field of energy efficiency, enjoy working directly with homeowners, and excel at writing and editing.
This individual must have above-average communication, analytical, and organizational skills and be able to multi-task. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with all types of people and think outside the box to solve challenges.
This position is funded in part by ECO Canada, in partnership with the
Government of Canada’s Sectorial Workforce Solutions Program. This funding is available for applicants who meet ECO Canada’s participant eligibility requirements. Further details about requirements include:
- Are a Canadian citizen, landed immigrant, or have refugee status
- Are eligible to work in Canada
- 1-2 years of customer service experience
- Experience in social media and blog content creation
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Office, Dynamics)
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
- Basic knowledge about building science and/or energy-efficient building practices
