Job Description
We are looking for a Senior SAP Project/Program Manager for a 12-month contract position with possible extensions in Vancouver, British Columbia. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Remote and office work available.
Role Description
The Project Manager is accountable for the successful completion of multiple high-risk IT projects safely, with quality, within budget and on time by leading cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams and applying project management principles.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives and deliverables that support the business goals in collaboration with clients, teams, and stakeholders.
- Plan and schedule project timelines, workflow, and milestones.
- Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring corrective actions are taken, when necessary, to improve project performance.
- Identify possible skill gaps within the team and implement ways for performance improvements.
- Ensure projects are being delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders, ensuring adherence to the project timeline.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of project team direct and indirect reports to ensure project deliverables are completed accurately, on time and to the required quality assurance standards.
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis through formal and informal channels.
- Identify, document, track and communicate project risks/issues, and assist in resolution or mitigation.
- Delegate project tasks based on staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels.
- Track project performance, to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
Required Skills and Experience- 10+ years of SAP implementation experience.
- Experience in business operations in plant maintenance in a utilities environment is a very strong asset.
- 5+ full project lifecycle (blueprint to go-live) implementations as a Project Manager.
- 5+ years of client management experience and strong communicator required.
- Hands on functional experience in SAP Plant Maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to bring functional teams together for integrated efforts.
- Excellent team building skills.
