Uniwell International is an international trading firm specializing in industrial goods such as tires, batteries, automotive parts, and construction materials with many years of experience dealing throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. We are seeking an Operations and Project Accountant to support the accounting and project teams in our construction division.
Major Responsibilities:
- Manage financial records using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Manage A/P and A/R
- Manage bank transactions and expenses reconciliations
- Perform and manage month-end and year-end closing
- Assist senior staff, operations team and/or project team on issuing invoices and progress draws (SOV) to clients
- Prepare and perform financial analysis on revenues, costs, and cash flow
- Assist on project bonds/insurances preparation and applications
- Support the accounting and project teams as required
Mandatory Requirements:
- Working experience in construction industry accounting role is an asset
- Working experience in an office environment in a similar role is an asset
- Knowledge of an accounting program – specifically Sage or Quick book - is an asset
- Knowledge of procurement, logistics, and construction industry is an asset
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Detailed oriented, exceptional organizational and management skills
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize work and complete assignments in a timely manner
- Detail oriented and strong data analytical skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision in a team environment
