Keyera Career OpportunityJob Type:PermanentTHE POSITIONBased in Calgary, Alberta and reporting to the Senior Manager, Project Assurance & Support, the Manager, Project Controls will lead and manage the Project Controls team at Keyera.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing a strong highly capable project controls team including a core team to deliver core services augmented by contingent works to support active projects.
- Effectively leading the Project Controls team by supporting their personal and professional development, ensuring they understand the value of their individual contributions and how they contribute to Keyera’s success, coaching and mentoring as they deliver services, and providing feedback periodically to maintain alignment.
- Maintaining a strong professional relationship with Project Managers and their leaders to ensure Project Control services are aligned with expectations, and to anticipate requirements and proactively meet them.
- Collaborating with other functional leaders to ensure a coordinated delivery of Project Controls services, based on strong integration with Project Management, SCM, Estimating, Document Control, and other related functions.
- Establishing effective fit-for-purpose support models for active projects and ensuring the right level of support is delivered by people with the right skills and time available to complete the work through the full life cycle of the project – from initiation to close-out.
- Ensuring project teams make the best use of available tools, systems and technology and project controls services are delivered consistently across projects.
- Delivering assurance for the projects to help them better understand and mitigate risks to cost and schedule through the Cost Probability Risk Review and Schedule Probability Risk Review.
- Contribute as an active member of the Project Assurance & Support leadership team by developing and implementing the Project Controls contribution to the PA&S Three Year Strategy renewed each year to reflect changes in the business context.
QUALIFICATIONS- 10+ years of experience in a project controls environment.
- Organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
- Multitasking, ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with the ability to adapt to change, think on your feet, and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Projects, Omega Project Information Management System, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, and Excel.
- Knowledge of midstream industry is desirable.
- Post-Secondary education in related field.
