Position: Project Coordinator
Job Description:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the project team and managing the relationship between CLI Group and the client. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for communicating with the client and the project team, ensuring that all project requirements are met, and that the client is on track to meet their goals. The Project Coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring that all project documents are created, reviewed, and signed by the client. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a small business or a large construction company.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create and manage project documents (start up documents, construction schedule, construction standards, change notices etc.)
- Communicate with clients regarding timelines, issues, etc.
- Communicate with clients regarding revisions to scope and plan as needed
- Prepare site progress reports and document information for meetings
- Communicate with Property Management staff
- Assist in achieving tender closings and scheduled commitments within financial targets
- Maintain a high level construction standard and employ strict quality control measures
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
- Understanding of applicable federal, provincial and city health and safety and construction-related legislation
- Strong leadership skills to effectively hold others accountable for achieving project goals
- Flexible; ambitious self-starter; solid team player with a positive attitude who fosters teamwork and cooperation with a strong ability to lead a highly functional team
- Relationship savvy and high level of interpersonal skills
- Exceptional time management to prioritize activities and allocate resources effectively
- Commitment to recognizing and mitigating risks; strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills; high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics
- Required Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a construction setting. Experience with estimating is a plus. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
- Preferred Experience:2+ years of experience working with small businesses or large construction companies.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
