We are looking for a Project Co-ordinator to join our Technology Team! The focus of this role is to support the Technology business group to manage the Design Development, Procurement, Execution and Monitoring/Controlling processes for all associated Technology scopes for assigned projects. This is a team-oriented effort that involves learning about the latest technologies and smart buildings. As a Project Coordinator, Technology you are expected to:
- Support the Design Manager and Project Manager in their roles, this will involve working with the engineers and designers to ensure technology system designs are complete to a satisfactory level by the deadline
- Work across Electrical, Mechanical, Architectural, etc to ensure that the systems integrate
- Ensure the system designs adhere to the contractual requirements of the project
- Develop schedules for design and construction activities, this will include design development stages, installation and commissioning activities.
- Track project progress, support with ad-hoc requests that are required to be tracked. Including resource tracking, delivery and storage of equipment, design submissions, shop drawing submission tracking.
- Coordinate and follow-up with consultants, vendors and sub-contractors for action items.
- Support project lead with risk, budget and schedule management. Support progress of project and actualizing of schedule.
- Work alongside leads to establish standard practices, improve documentation and change management processes.
- Research new technological systems or equipment that can be applied to future projects.
- Involved in client, subcontractor and meetings with third parties.
- Involved in daily on-site coordination of activities and responsibilities
Our ideal candidate has:
- Enrolled in a post-secondary University program. Engineering, Technology or business program is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License (G2 or G) required.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong work ethic and superior troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good organization skills.
- Capability to manage priorities and adjust to changing priorities.
- Knowledge or previous use of Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Experienced in construction projects, comfortable with being in a construction site office setting
- Basic understanding of typical building systems and technology
