Job Description
REMCAN Projects LP is currently seeking a Project Coordinator to join their Occupational Health and Safety team across the Eastern division, specifically in the Ontario area.

The Project Coordinator will report to the General Manager Projects and work together with the both the Project team and Regional Operations to provide leadership and assistance in planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. The Project Coordinator assists the General Manager Projects and Project Managers in administration, budget management, as well as project documentation. The Project Coordinator may also provide assistance to site Superintendents aiding in project preparation and document development.
The successful candidate MUST be able to travel when required and be available for onsite coordination (in field work when required).
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager of Projects and working closely with the Project team in project administration and project documentation such as preparing and distributing meeting minutes, data entry, training coordination and course scheduling- Coordinate with subcontractors for project administration requirements and statistics
- Assist Project Manager with construction planning and scheduling, training requirements and coordination, site safety documentation development
- Attend internal coordination and project weekly meetings as requested/required
- Assist Superintendents or Project Managers in project supervision if required, including day-to-day logs of site activities, and description of work
- Coordinate site inspections with clients, sub-contractors, and owners, as required
- Assist in administration and documentation of REMCAN policies, plans and procedures
- Willing to learn new skills, be motivated to continually build knowledge, and grasp development opportunities within the Management team at REMCAN
Position Type
6-month term contract with the intent to offer a permanent, full-time position
Working Schedule
Monday to Friday (occasional weekends when required by project including work outside of typical business hours)

- College or University graduate (civil engineering related preferred) or equivalent working experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and basic understanding of MS Project
- Strong organizational, verbal and electronic communication skills
- Ability to read and understand company policies and procedures
- Be self-motivated and driven
- Ability to work independently and to work as part of a team
