RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position summary
The Canadian Pediatric Cancer Consortium (CPCC) is a new initiative to build a national childhood cancer strategy that will change the way children’s cancers are researched and treated. The candidate will work closely with the Cancer Biology Theme’s Co-Leads, Dr. Philipp Lange, Dr. Sonia Cellot, Dr. Nada Jabado, Amjad Kayali, Nathalie Therrien, Sarah Cook, as well as the CPCC Project Manager(s) and other CPCC Office members to manage all the activities of the Cancer Biology Theme, support the development of research platforms and oversee the work of national research studies. The Project Manager will also be responsible for liaising with relevant stakeholders to map the landscape of biobanking and data sharing activities in Canada, and to develop a proposal on how these activities can be further facilitated, integrated and encouraged.
General Duties
Integrate existing Canadian expertise and resources to develop and accelerate research pathways by building a sustainable network of excellence, advance biobanking and data sharing nationally, increase capacity and access to -omics analyses beyond genomics and transcriptomics, and to build research teams to address key questions at a national level.
The candidate will support the development of research platforms and oversee the work of national research studies. The project manager will further be responsible to liaise with relevant stakeholders to map the landscape of biobanking and data sharing activities in Canada and develop a proposal how these activities can be further facilitated, integrated and fostered. The project manager will work with all team members to meet research goals and objectives.

Education / Experience
Education: Master's Degree
Field of Study: Health or science related discipline
Other education considered an asset for this position: Project Management (PMP) certificate is desirable
Work Experience: minimum of 4 years of experience in coordinating large biomedical projects, and/or a minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Requirements:
- Excellent English, spoken and written, with French language skills considered an asset,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision,
- High computer proficiency,
- This position requires a proactive and action–oriented individual with excellent organizational, interpersonal, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
Additional information
Status: Temporary Full-Time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale: $52,998.40 - $98,425.60, commensurate with education & work experience
Work Shift: Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm, flexible
Work Site: This is a hybrid position. The employee will work remotely and is occasionally required to travel to attend in-person meetings with the co-leads or stakeholders (i.e Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver)
