Job Description
On behalf of our client in Burnaby, Ignite Technical Resources is looking for a Lending Services Manager with our client for a 6 month contract opportunity.
Role Description:
Our client's HR team is experiencing increased pressures to meet expanding expectations to keep up with the needs of employees, managers, and the organization as whole.
Therefore, HR must diversify our skills and capabilities in order to support these pressures.
A People Program Office would create a centralized function that is responsible for the management and coordination of projects that occur not only internally to HR, but also cross-branch projects which HR are often asked to lead or support.
Although there is currently no formal project management expertise within the HR team, HR staff are constantly juggling multiple high-priority projects at one time. This means projects are often under-resourced, can take longer to implement, and may not have undergone a full risk assessment and mitigation. Adding a PPO would mean projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard. It would also allow us to be strategic in planning for emerging business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Managing all new and existing projects that touch HR – including creating project charters, engaging stakeholders, assessing risk and mitigation, and tracking actions.
- Conducting regular LEAN reviews of HR processes to ensure they evolve with the needs of the organization
- Engaging with other branches and encourage cross-branch collaboration.
- Managing the implementation of improvements.
- Handling change management throughout the branch and wider organization.
- Data reporting and analytics to allow for strategic planning of current and future business needs.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in business management, project management or related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or other project management certification is required
- Extensive experience in project management roles, including leading multiple projects.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the Employer.
- Extensive knowledge of project management principles, methodologies and tools
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, including identification of issues/risks and generating creative solutions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate to a range of audiences.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and relevant software
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects from idea to execution
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage budgets, resources, and stakeholders to successfully deliver within scope and timelines
- Ability to identify and implement effective systems to monitor performance
- Ability to prepare reports and presentations to ensure clear and effective communications
- Ability to establish a high level of rapport with staff, management, Executives, and other stakeholders
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate tact and diplomacy in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional groups to achieve common goals
- Ability to travel and arrange suitable transportation to various sites
- Experience working for public or non-profit agencies is an asset.
Due to the volume of resumes, only those candidates being considered will be contacted.
