Job Description
Location: Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
We are looking for a skilled and motivated ICI Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. As an ICI Project Manager, you will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage the overall execution of ICI construction projects from start to finish.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to project timelines and financial targets.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors, and negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address any issues or delays, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and RFIs.
- Track project costs, review and approve invoices, and ensure accurate project accounting and reporting.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and address any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Lead and manage a team of project engineers, coordinators, and field staff, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a project manager in the ICI construction industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex ICI projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- PMP certification or equivalent is an asset.
