Job Description
We are looking for a responsible Legal Receptionist to act as the first point of contact for our law firm. The Legal Receptionist’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing administrative support to the Estates Group, answering phone calls, and managing inter-office requests. The ideal candidate should have a friendly personality, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently. A legal administrative assistant diploma or similar is preferred. To be successful in this position, you should be able to handle all tasks as assigned while working independently. Ultimately, you will help maintain our office culture and provide a positive experience to our clients and staff.
Responsibilities
Administrative support (emails, phone calls, etc.)
- Manage incoming calls
- Manage and respond to email requests
- Create and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, etc.
- Handle incoming mail deliveries & attend at post office to send registered mail
- Develop and maintain a filing system
- Maintain office equipment (photocopier, postage metre)
- Provide general support to visitors (i.e., greeting visitors, making coffee, tea, etc.)
- Provide general information about the company (i.e., contact information, address, location, etc.)
- Maintain office environment (i.e., cleanliness of general office area)
Experience/Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; Legal Assistant Diploma or similar preferred; Prior law office experience preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $35,000.00-$40,000.00 per year
