As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company and manage our front desk and perform a variety of administrative tasks. The Receptionist will provide excellent customer service to our internal and external clients and be the initial contact with guests and callers.
Accountabilities:
- Welcome guests and greet people who visit our office. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.
- Maintain security by following procedures, monitoring logbook, and issuing visitor badges
- Ability to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations.
- General reception/administrative responsibilities and special projects as assigned. May help other staff members in clerical overload situations
- Handle incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner, maintaining records as necessary
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
- Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
- A combination of education and related experience equal to eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements
- Serve as a Company representative to external clients
- Participate in department meetings, training, and functions, as required
- Participate in Fluor University® for training and career development
- Contribute to and promote the use of Fluor’s knowledge management portals and communities
Preferred Qualifications
- High school graduate; preference will be given to candidates with a post-secondary education
- Minimum of five plus (5+) years of office experience
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience with Outlook and PowerPoint
- Must possesses excellent organizational and communication skills
- Must be flexible, exercise good judgment, and able to function efficiently in a work in a busy environment.
