POSITION SUMMARY
This is a 12-week internship for a current student or recent graduate. The Recruiting Intern will assist the Corporate Recruiter with full cycle recruiting for technical and professional roles. They will have an interest in talent identification, attraction, and assessment, and developing valuable partnerships with the business at Crown. This person understands the value of providing a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring and onboarding process. This role will report to the Corporate Recruiter and work with various hiring managers and agencies to meet hiring requirements.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Assist with the recruitment process, using various job posting and applicant tracking platforms to source and maintain the candidate database
- Conduct initial screening calls with candidates to assess their qualifications, availability, and interest in the position
- Complete behavioral-based interviews and phone screens to assess technical and behavioural fit for a role
- Assist with recruitment initiatives including but not limited to job fairs, student recruitment initiatives, etc.
- Assist in scheduling interviews, coordinating with candidates and interviewers to ensure a smooth and efficient process
- Prepare letters of employment and update our HR Information Systems (HRIS) accordingly
- Assist with orientation training as required
- Input relevant data into the new hire tracker, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information
- Represent Crown as an ambassador, and provide an exceptional experience for all candidates
- May support the broader HR team in various administrative tasks, such as preparing HR-related documents, updating policies and procedures, and organizing employee files
- Perform other related duties as required
KNOW HOW & EXPERIENCE
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an HR degree, diploma, or related program
- Ability to see projects through to completion, while focusing on efficiency and quality
- Self-directed, well-organized, and proactive individual
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
- Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is an asset
- Experience in the automotive or heavy equipment industries is an asset
- Working toward RPR, CHRP, or CHRL designation is an asset
