The International Student Recruitment Officer (ISRO) will work as a member of the International Team whose primary focus will be on agent service and relationship management and recruitment of international students applying directly to the college from international markets or within Canada.
The ISRO is the initial point of contact for agents and agencies, coordinates agent and other international partner visits, and acts as the central point of contact and first line of resolution for any agent service concerns. The incumbent assists the Regional Manager, International in monitoring agent performance by tracking new international student applications, including program admission, tuition payments, deferrals, withdrawals and study permit approvals.
The ISRO is responsible for coordinating initial signing and renewal of agent contracts and payment of agent commissions in collaboration with the finance department.
The ISRO focuses on recruitment of international students including responding to general inquiries, conducting pre-applicant advising sessions with prospective students (in person and virtually) and following up with international student leads collected by the International Recruitment team. The incumbent will attend in-province international recruitment events organized by English Language partner institutions to promote Fleming College.

What We Are Looking For:
- Completion of a 2-year diploma in Marketing, Business, International Business
- Minimum of 3 years of practical, related working experience including:
- Working in a customer service environment with a variety of clients from varying social, academic, economic and cultural backgrounds.
- Working independently, in a team environment, organizing, prioritizing and problem solving own work while handling multiple tasks and timelines from a variety of sources in order to meet deadlines.
- Dealing with sensitive and confidential information referring to related policies and FIPPA
- Using word processing, data base, power point and spreadsheet application and using email and internet.
- Experience with assessment of academic documentation from differing educational institutions and systems both domestic and international.
- Working in a multi-cultural setting and strong skills related to cultural sensitivity
- Public speaking and presenting; and event planning
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Valid G license in good standing and access to a vehicle.
- Fluency in a second language, ideally Spanish, Vietnamese or Tagalog, is preferred
