Hickman Automotive Group is looking for a Sales Manager to join our team at Hickman Chrysler in St. John's. If you are an energetic and motivated individual with a positive attitude, a dedication to providing exceptional customer service and a desire to succeed, we would love to have you.
The Sales Manager is responsible for accurately planning and forecasting sales, developing annual sales goals for the dealership as part of an annual business plan, and constantly monitoring the dealership’s sales in relation to the plan, revising the plan when appropriate. This position has a base salary plus an incentive pay structure.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Member of Sales Management Team.
Daily metric reporting to the General Manager including results, traffic, conditions, progress and all other relevant information.
Prominent presence on the Sales Floor.
Interacting continually with Sales Team members and customers, assisting Sales Consultants with closing/completing sales, coordinating and maximizing social media exposure and assisting with completion of product walkarounds.
Responsible for ensuring phone-ups, walk-ins and iLeads are handled in a timely fashion.
Assists with hiring and developing of Sales Team members.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining floor schedule and ensuring adequate coverage based on customer expectations.
Coordinating the activities of the Sales Floor.
Coordinating the daily activities of the Sales Floor Greeter.
Ensuring the Sales and Delivery, Phone-up, Walk-in, Follow-up, Appointment Process and Internet Lead Processes are followed on a daily basis.
Daily management of Appointment Cycle with daily PR follow-up.
Managing the CRM tool on a daily basis, ensuring Sales Consultants input and update customer information, daily tasks are completed and ensure quality and quantity of phone calls are made on a daily basis.
Coordinating sales training schedule.
Assist with completion of monthly and annual Sales Consultant performance reviews.
Effective communication with all departments and managers within dealership.
As a manager within Hickman Automotive Group you will occasionally be required to attend training. We will do our best to accommodate personal schedules; however, training that is deemed necessary by management, is mandatory.
Other duties, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Used car experience will be considered an asset
Post-secondary education considered an asset.
Knowledge of product and promotional information.
Computer knowledge.
Leadership skills of delegation, empowerment, coaching, organizing and planning, and interpersonal sensitivity.
Strong work ethic.
Well-developed team member skills.
Excellent interpersonal, telephone and communication skills.
Ability to design effective advertising.
Ability to link inventory to marketing plan.
Ability to conduct sales analyses, comparing sales performance with current sales goals.
Ability to take an interest in team members, including proactively promoting the appropriate development of team members.
