- Hourly rate of pay $23.31 to $26.64
What you will be doing:
- Ensure the safety of the hotel, guests and employees
- Oversee asset protection of hotel
- Research and report any incidents in accordance with standards of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts
- Be a visible security presence while on duty
- Act as First Aid Attendant; responding to all first aid calls while on duty
- Maintenance of effective relationships with Municipal, Federal or Corporate security/police forces
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Two years recent experience (in the last five years) as a security officer in a hotel or establishment of comparable size and level of service or one year recent experience (in the last five years) as a member of a recognized police reserve group
- BST certificate required
- Security License
- Must be bondable
- Advanced (Level II) First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Completely fluent English language skills; both written and verbal
- Must be available for all varied shifts including evening and night shifts
- Clear, precise, professional and helpful telephone manner
- Proven report writing skills with excellent organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills; strong leadership and motivational abilities
- A team player with proven success in relationship building
- A high level of responsibility and commitment with the ability to work well independently; often unsupervised
Additional Information
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Constant standing and walking. Frequent bending and kneeling. Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20lbs. Occasional pushing and pulling.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
