Now, if you were to come on board as our Senior Director of Field Marketing, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- You will be responsible for planning and leading the execution of promotions and campaign strategies for food and consumer packaged goods.
- Oversee marketing & promotions strategy and promotional schedule across Canada for all retail sectors
- Increase guest and operator participation by delivering initiatives which create the optimal retail and guest experience.
- Guide and inspire the field marketing team to deliver on the department’s defined goals while building a team culture that positively recognizes and celebrates the team, and provides open and transparent communication including constructive feedback
- Set plans for team interaction and development including learning and enrichment opportunities
- Analyze and respond to market data which reflects current and future states, trends, opportunities, and challenges. Understand how changes in retail, food services, economy, and consumer perceptions / buying patterns drive participation.
- Develop and provide tools to execute and measure program participation and campaign performance. Produce and communicate briefs related to brands, products, promotions, and campaigns programs.
- Oversee the development of templates and best practices for implementation at unit level
- Lead the annual budgeting process for the field team operating budget in partnership with finance and manage the teams spends/allocations
- Work with a strong cross-functional team at Compass that includes Marketing, Culinary, Digital and Innovation teams
- Participate in retention and new bids through identifying opportunities for growth and establishing a retail vision
- Project manage the marketing functions of business transitions and mobilizations

- 7+ years of Marketing and promotions experience from either from a QSR chain or from a similar foodservices group within a beverage or CPG company
- Educational training in Business or related field.
- Must have Food Services, QSR experience and CPG experience.
- Strong operational knowledge of foodservice businesses
- Excellent communications skills with the ability to multi-task and self-manage.
- Understanding and experience with: consumer research, digital, social media, excel and PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to write creative briefs, media releases, business cases and RFP’s
- Smart, savvy and have a proven marketing & promotions track record.
- Demonstrable leadership and development skills.
- A bias for action and ability to inspire teams to reach goals
- Willingness to travel across Canada - 60%
