Location: Prince George, British Columbia
Employment Type: Full time, 35hrs/wk

The Opportunity: The Youth Services Worker is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Youth Centre. This includes the provision of educational, life skills, recreation and cultural programming to youth ages 15-29.
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Youth Drop-in Center.
- Support youth who are at risk of becoming unhoused or are unhoused and are experiencing barriers in accessing resources and services.
- Assist in creating a safe, secure and supportive environment
- Advocate and address immediate needs of the youth, including but not limited to: meals, clothing, personal hygiene items, shower, laundry, storage, access to computer, internet and telephone.
- Identify long-term goals with the youth, including but not limited to: housing, employment, budgeting, accessing health and social services, cultural connections.
- Provide learning opportunities for youth to enhance holistic wellness.
- Refer youth to applicable internal and external services.

What You Will Bring to The Role:
- A post-secondary diploma in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or a related field preferred
- Two years’ experience working with at-risk and high-risk youth
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
