Position: Software Developer Co-op/Intern
Duration: 4 Months
Date: Sep 4 to December 22, 2023
Location: Flexible (Hybrid in Ottawa, Canada or Virtual in Canada)
As part of the team, you will:
- Be part of an agile team responsible for the design, development and testing of the Home Device Manager (HDM) product
- Building and deploying microservices with RESTful APIs
- Writing and executing unit tests. Identifying and implementing opportunities to enhance test infrastructure and automation coverage
- Deploying, running and troubleshooting cloud-native applications in containers, e.g. Docker, Kubernetes
- Creating/maintaining Confluence pages, creating PowerBI dashboards
Education Recommendations:
Currently a candidate for a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.
You have :
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
- Self-driven, analytical, and results-oriented with proven sound judgment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience using Linux and Windows
- Experience with Java, J2EE
- Experience with test automation development or development in general
- Experience with Automation Framework like Selenium, Cucumber
