Job Description
The position will support the on-site execution of projects and tasks at the Winnipeg facility. Projects will be aimed at upgrading facilities, equipment installation and re-design/modifications of production lines according to Winpak’s capital expenditure plan.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, comfortable working independently. Knowledgeable in using Auto CAD, you will be responsible for providing assistance in creating and updating detailed drawings and sketches for the engineering team. You have a confident professional presence and are comfortable building relationships and facilitating meetings. You will gain experience in managing low-complexity projects including coordinating contractors, following engineering codes and standards, and creating project charters and other documentation.
YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Completion of the first year of their educational program, preferably with Engineering specialization.
- Mid-level working knowledge with AutoCAD required.
- Mid-level knowledge in project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Highly adaptable and able to work efficiently in a team environment.
- A "can do" attitude with good initiative, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Available from September 11, 2023 until December 22, 2023, 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday - Friday (onsite).
