Paradigm Building Solutions runs a high-end robotic manufacturing plant that produces open and closed wall panels in Louis Creek, B.C, only 5 minutes south of Barrière. We run high-end equipment and are a market-leader in sustainable and energy-efficient prefabricated wall panels in Canada. We are continuously upgrading our equipment to reduce waste, build more environmentally friendly and energy efficient wall systems. Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Sales Coordinator to join our sales team. The Technical Sales Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the sales department by providing technical expertise, coordinating sales activities, and ensuring smooth communication between customers, sales representatives, and internal departments. This role requires a deep understanding of timber framing panels, excellent organizational skills, estimating capabilities and a customer-centric mindset.
Duties:
Technical:
· Develop a comprehensive understanding of our open and closed wall panel products, their technical specifications, applications, components, and installation processes.
· Provide technical assistance and advice to customers, sales representatives, and internal teams to ensure accurate product selection and efficient project implementation.
· Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, regulations, and best practices related open and closed wall panels.
Sales Coordination:
· Act as a liaison between customers, sales representatives, factory, project managers and other internal teams to facilitate the sales process.
· Coordinate third party estimators and finalize take offs and estimates for projects.
· Review take-offs in Planswift, calculate lumber requirements.
· Coordinate and manage sales inquiries, requests for proposals (RFPs), and technical specifications, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
· Collaborate with the production and logistics teams to track and manage product availability, lead times, and delivery schedules to meet customer requirements.
· Regularly update lumber and supply pricing to reflect most up to date pricing for estimates.
· Coordinate with accounting to ensure invoices are issued, credit cheques performed, and progress billing is coordinated.
· Prepare sales letters and quotes for customers.
Customer Support:
· Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and address technical concerns promptly and professionally.
· Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and develop customized solutions.
· Conduct regular follow-ups with customers to ensure their satisfaction and gather feedback for continuous improvement
Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of sales activities, customer interactions, and technical specifications.
· Maintain filing system.
· Generate reports, sales forecasts, and performance metrics to assist the sales team in monitoring progress and achieving targets.
· Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for business growth and optimization.
· Participate in weekly team calls as required.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management) or equivalent experience as a carpenter, foreperson of framing lead.
· Previous experience in a technical sales or coordination role within the construction industry, preferably related to wall panels.
· In-depth knowledge of panel systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with, sales representatives, and internal teams.
· Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
· Proficiency in, MS Office suite and technical drawing software Truebuilt, estimating software such as Planswift is desirable.
· Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites and the factory in Barrière.
