What you can expect when joining the team
Reporting to the Director of Software Development, you will play a central role in the development team working on the medical billing product, Xacte.
You'll help change Petal's technological future by participating in strategic technological decisions and orientations, and by sharing your knowledge to improve your team's experience.
Your daily life
During the day, you will be led to:
Design and implement new features;
Participate in your colleagues' code reviews;
Participate in the maintenance and technological evolution of the platform;
Write automated tests (yes, that's important to us!);
Collaborate with the DevOps team on continuous deployment and testing.
Your profile
Are you a versatile, inquisitive developer with a passion for web application development? Do you like to keep up to date and informed, and work in a fast-moving environment? Are you looking for a friendly working atmosphere and the chance to join a great team?The sky is the limit! If you have:
10+ years of relevant development experience;
Bachelor's degree or diploma in computer science;
In-depth knowledge of .NET Core, .NET 5, or .NET 6;
Knowledge of relational databases and MSSQL;
Experience with Azure cloud, Azure SQL and App services;
Terraform experience for native Azure cloud elements (Azure SQL and App Services in particular);
Azure development experience (Azure function);
Experience in API Gateway/Microservices architecture;
Ability to convert a legacy project into a modern stack;
Solid knowledge of security best practices in web application development;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with natural curiosity and attention to detail;
A demonstrated ability to focus on deliverables and meet deadlines;
A demonstrated interest in sharing your knowledge and experience with teammates;
An inquisitive, analytical, collaborative and positive spirit;
Experience with Blazor Server (asset);
Interest in .NET MAUI (asset);
AWS/AWS SDK .NET expertise (asset);
Since you'll be interacting with colleagues, many of whom are unilingual English or French speakers, fluency in English and French (spoken, written and read) is preferable.
