Responsibilities
- Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Track bank transactions during the month
- Bank reconciliations at month end
- Track credit card transactions and reconciliations
- Track and monitor accounts receivables and issue invoices
- Assist with payroll journal entries including salary expenses, vacation/sick time accruals, benefits, accruals etc.
- Create inter-company invoices and postings
- Arrange for completion and filing of monthly and quarterly WCB and GST tax filings
- Other duties as assigned to support accounting and operational requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Pursuing accounting or finance diploma or degree is required
- 6-12 months of accounts receivable and bookkeeping experience is preferred
- Superior interpersonal skills to interact with internal employees and external resident
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrating strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong technical aptitude and work experience with technical applications and systems including Excel and accounting software
- Experience with property management is preferred
- Experience with ERP system (eg. Yardi, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.) is preferred
