Job Description

Title Early Childhood Administrative Coordinator (ECAC)

About the MNjcc and the Early Childhood Department:

The Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre is a dynamic hub in downtown Toronto. It provides opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to be active, learn, connect, and participate in a wide range of cultural experiences. Rooted in Jewish values, the MNjcc is open to all.

Founded on this site in 1953 the MNjcc is home to a state-of-the-art Fitness Centre, the Al Green Theatre, four schools, four choirs, a wide range of arts and cultural activities, Jewish Life programming, and a robust Active 55+ program. It is a founding member of the Bloor Street Cultural Corridor.

Short Description of the Position:

To ensure the success of the Early Childhood Department, the Early Childhood Administrative Coordinator (ECAC) will work with the Director of Early Childhood Education (DECE) and the Assistant Director of Early Childhood Education (ADECE) to ensure that early childhood programs run effectively. The Libbie Cowan Childcare Centre and the Thomas & Marjorie Schwartz Preschool Centre are programs of excellence for children from 18 months through Junior Kindergarten. With a strong focus on inclusion and informed by ELECT, How Does Learning Happen and the JCCA Sheva framework, the ECAC will collaborate with educators to provide developmentally appropriate programming for the children in our program.
