Spirit of Math Schools is an after school program in education, offering students who are highly motivated and often gifted with challenging curriculum to expand their thinking and stretch their abilities beyond the normal curriculum. Spirit of Math Schools at Brampton location is looking for an outgoing and responsible individual to fill the role of an administrative assistant to work at location. We need an individual who is customer service driven, friendly and who has demonstrated willingness to learn and advanced computer skills.
Required skills and knowledge:
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of office administration procedures
- Excellent telephone manners
- Detailed oriented, accurate and organized; Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities at once
- High attention to detail
- Strong organization and planning skills, excellent verbal/written communication skills, grammar, and spelling
- Exceptional time management skills, willingness to learn new things and able to multi-task.
- Greet people and direct them to the appropriate personal
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Handling client inquiries through emails and phone calls in a professional manner.
- Inputting client information in our internal system accurately and maintaining the database on an ongoing bases.
- Timely preparation of departmental reports and necessary correspondence,
- Ensuring a 24-hour response time to all modes of contact from customers,
- Consistent, accurate and organized administration and maintenance of all related digital and paper flows including departmental mail distribution, emailing, copying, filing and other necessary clerical duties, which also includes employee/ registration/ administrative binders.
- Liaising with corporate office for IT and administrative issues
- Organizing, attend, contribute to, and take minutes for all monthly staff meetings.
- Always maintain a high level of professionalism in all interaction.
- Regular communication with, and author and disseminate correspondence to, all internal staff, customers and trades,
- Ordering and taking stock of office supplies and maintaining school inventory
- Creating various reports for class list for teachers and principal
- Setting up new parent interviews and maintaining calendar of appointments for principal
- Coordinates the year end ceremony, printing of certificates, ordering, etc. and act as project lead.

Full timings discussed during interview. This is a full time position for a 37.5 hour work week.
