What YOU Will Do
Under the supervision of and in close collaboration with the head of ESG Communications, your main mandate will be to develop and roll out strategies, action plans and communication content to support the Environment and Sustainable Development Department in meeting their strategic objectives.
You will implement the company’s communication initiatives on sustainable development while positioning yourself as a key partner in Pomerleau’s growth, through your solutions-oriented and advisory approach.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Environment and Sustainable Development team in implementing its communication strategies and initiatives (drafting and deploying communication plans, coordinating actions and preparing content for various communication channels, etc.).
- Plan and implement various communication tactics and tools, such as internal and external publications, key messages, presentations and storytelling approaches.
- Identify communication opportunities, provide support in planning, analyzing and recommending these opportunities.
- Ensure the quality of drafts and translations, assess the quality of products and services rendered, such as graphic productions, video and photographic content, display tools.
- Monitor and promote environmental and sustainable development initiatives deployed on work sites.
- Monitor ESG Communications’ best practices in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
- Ensure that the Pomerleau brand is incorporated into its portfolio initiatives.
- Act as an ambassador within the Communications and Marketing team to ensure that its portfolio is promoted within the company’s communication strategies.
- Participate in internal and external corporate communication initiatives, as required.
- Work with members of the Communications Department, according to the priorities established.
What YOU Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or equivalent professional experience
- At least five years of experience in a similar position
- Fully bilingual, both spoken and written
- Excellent ability to write diverse content
- Superior organizational skills, great efficiency, attention to detail and productivity
- Ability to adapt and work in fast-paced environments
- Sense of initiative, professionalism and good judgment
- Open to change, advocate for new ideas and transformational change
- Knowledge of the construction industry and ESG, an asset
